Recorded live view of the Dumbbell Nebula, a small green glow among stars, in a round eyepiece view
Recorded live view of the Dumbbell Nebula through my Sky-Watcher HAC125 DX.

About What You Can See

What will I actually see? It's the question I get asked more than any other. Not the processed photo: the view at the eyepiece, with your own eye.

So I filmed it. This is real footage through my Sky-Watcher HAC125 DX, recorded live, so it looks like the view you'd get yourself. You'll pick a telescope and an eyepiece, point it at a galaxy, the Moon or Saturn, and see the honest view. Small, faint and real.

A telescope can't make a galaxy brighter. It can only make it bigger. Once you know that, you'll never be disappointed by a telescope again.

  • Real live footage, not processed photos
  • Swap telescopes and eyepieces
  • Galaxies and nebulae, then the Moon and Saturn
