Buy it if
- You want a simple dust cover to keep dust, rain and sun off a telescope left set up between nights.
- You would rather spend on the telescope than on the cover.
Skip it if
- You need a cover proven against a strong sun or heavy snow: mine has only faced UK weather.
- You pack your telescope away after every session.
“I don't think you can go wrong with this.”

90/100 Stars for Your Buck
Pros
- It handled all weather conditions perfectly.
- Two stacked, one on top of the other, give double protection from water.
- Sold as waterproof, with sun protection, in 420D fabric.
- A drawstring at the hem pulls it closed.
Cons
- Its size options are not recorded here: check them against your telescope and mount before you order.
- For peace of mind you may want two: one would probably do, but I felt a lot more comfortable using two.
One would probably do the job, but I feel a lot more comfortable using two, and even several pinned together cost less than a TeleGizmos 365.
Two alternatives I have reviewed
- 365 Telescope Cover TeleGizmos' two-layer cover made to stay outside all year 74/100 £209 Read the review
- 365 Solar Telescope Cover The other TeleGizmos cover on my board 5/100 £73 Read the review

- What is the telescope cover made of? The listing gives 420D fabric, sold as waterproof, anti-reflective and with sun protection; its photographs show a silver cover with a drawstring hem. The specifications ↓
- How is it different from the TeleGizmos 365 cover? The TeleGizmos 365 is a two-layer cover, a water, UV and mildew-resistant coated polyester over an aluminised lining, cut for one kind of telescope and sold for all-year outdoor use; this is a 420D dust cover from AliExpress. The specifications ↓
- Where can I buy the telescope cover? The prices I recorded: $8 at AliExpress (Global), listed. A record, not a live price The verdict, the readers and the sellers ↓
- What have I not tested on the telescope cover? I have not used it under a strong sun or in heavy snow: for most of the year the Sun here in the UK is nowhere near strong enough to test it.
